INDUSTRY OVERVIEW

The Golf Crypt operates in an exploding industry. According to ECON Market Research, the U.S. golf simulator market was $983.62 million in 2023 and is predicted to reach approximately $2.14 billion by 2032 at a compound annual growth rate of 9.03% from 2024 to 2032.

The Golf Crypt capitalizes on the post-pandemic surge in off-course golf. As the National Golf Foundation has reported, more people are now playing golf off-course than on-course, and The Golf Crypt is perfectly positioned to meet the growing demand for time-efficient practice and course play.

Golf boasts a substantial and engaged audience, with an estimated reach of 123 million people in the United States alone. This figure represents over one-third of the population ages 5 and above who, in 2023, actively participated in golf (on or off the course), followed the sport through media, or consumed related content. This demonstrates a significant 30% increase compared to 2016.

As noted above, beyond traditional on-course play, the industry is experiencing a shift towards alternative formats. In 2023, over 45 million Americans (aged 6 and up) engaged with golf in some form, either through on-course or off-course activities. This trend reflects a growing preference for non-traditional play, with driving ranges, indoor golf simulators, and entertainment venues attracting a significant and expanding audience. Contributing to this growth, an impressive 3.4 million individuals took up golf for the first time in 2023, highlighting the sport’s increasing accessibility and appeal to new demographics.

Due to increasing interest in off-golf course alternatives – which can be played in shorter time blocks – now is a great time to get involved in the industry. The Golf Crypt business model affords Franchisees the opportunity to open a business with no employees, high profit margins, and the ability to maintain their regular employment.

The Golf Crypt
studios can be operated from strip centers, free-standing buildings, open air and enclosed shopping malls, and business and industrial parks. We mutually determine the size of the Area Development Territory and the timeframe to open the additional franchises based on the total number of franchises the Area Developer will open. Area Developers also sign a Franchise Agreement for their first franchise when signing the Area Development Agreement.

The Federal Trade Commission’s Franchise Rule permits franchise companies to make “financial performance representations” (FPRs) in Item 19 of the FDD. We believe it is extremely important to do so as it helps prospective franchisees understand the financial aspects of our business. In Item 19 of our FDD, we provide an FPR regarding the financial performance or our affiliated location. The information will assist you in preparing financial projections for your Golf Crypt franchise business.
